Baby

This is my cat, Baby.

Baby came to me as a stray who was being beat up by his brothers and sisters and not fed by his mother. He was very tiny, as you can see by the pictures, and needed to be bottle fed. Because he was so little, and too young to be away from his mother (if she was feeding him), I took him everywhere I went (except for work).

So anyway, when I bottle fed him, I held him like a baby -- belly up, in the crook of my arm. To this day -- over a year later -- he must have cuddles the moment I walk in the door. He wants to be scooped up, and held like a baby, and the top of his head rubbed.

Soon I will post a video of this -- he is so adorable. He even answers to Baby. I've never known a cat to answer by his name. But if I call out "Baby" where ever he was in the house, he comes running.

Rant Against Sprint

Ok, I'm really really angry.

I signed up with Sprint as my cell-phone provider and had a 2-year contract from December 2nd '06 through Dec 2nd ‘08. So December 15th, I switched over to FFH's plan since he was using up all his minutes talking to me.

Anyway, I get a letter from Sprint charging me an early termination fee of $200. So I call them up, and they say that because in November of 07 I added more minutes to my plan -- this was because my father died and I had to make so many phone calls all across the nation that my bill shot up a few hundred dollars. Well, supposedly, if you upgrade from a 300 minute plan to a 500 minute plan, that automatically renews your contract.

Thus, they refuse to waive the fee.

I asked to speak to a supervisor. He told me the same thing. They refuse to waive the fee because I extended my contract. I asked him again to waive the fee, he said I'll transfer you to finance, and then hung up on me.

I am so angry right now. And tomorrow I'm going into a store and talk to someone in person. And if they still refuse to waive the fee (because they will claim they are only store sales people and that I need to talk to finance at headquarters, then I will sign up for a $1 payment plan and they will get their $200 over a period of 200 months.

Website Launch

Ok -- I am so psyched. For the last 4 days, I've been building a professional looking author website since it's one of the things a serious author is supposed to have, blah, blah, blah.

So, after much frustration and tedious editing of HTML, I present to you, the official website of:
